Deleting your Unfolding account
Your account is yours to close whenever you want. Here's how to do it, and exactly what happens when you do.
Delete from inside the app
Open Unfolding and go to My Profile → Delete Account → Delete My Account. You'll be asked to confirm once. After that, your account is removed right away.
Delete if you no longer have the app
Email us at privacy@unfolding-app.com from the address you used to sign up, and ask us to delete your account. We'll take care of it within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
If you can't write from that address, tell us the email you signed up with and we'll follow up to confirm it's you before deleting anything.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
• Your login and profile details
• Every Unfold entry you've written
• Your saved favorites
• Your streak and daily activity history
This is permanent. Your entries are deleted outright, not archived, and we can't restore them afterwards, not even if you ask us the next day. If you want to keep anything you've written, save it before you delete.
What we keep
If you ever paid for a subscription, records of those transactions are held by Apple, Google, and our payment processor. We keep the minimum required for tax and accounting purposes. Those records contain billing information, not your entries.
Cancel your subscription separately
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are billed by the app store, so you need to cancel there as well:
• Manage subscriptions on Google Play
• Manage subscriptions on the App Store
We recommend canceling first, then deleting, so you're not billed again.
